During the fourth quarter of 2022, the top navigation and maps apps on iOS in Sweden showed varying trends in downloads and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers insights into the performance of these apps.

Google Maps experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with around 12K downloads in late September and peaking at nearly 13K by the end of October. However, downloads dipped to approximately 6.4K by mid-December, before recovering to about 8.6K at the end of the quarter. The app maintained a robust user base, with weekly active users ranging from around 2.1M in early October to about 2M by mid-December, before ending the quarter with approximately 2M active users.

Google Earth saw a significant spike in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of about 5.7K in mid-October. Post-peak, downloads stabilized around the 2.4K to 3.3K range, concluding the quarter at approximately 2.8K. Weekly active users also increased from around 25.8K in late September to a peak of 35.2K in mid-October, before stabilizing to approximately 27.4K by the end of December.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a relatively stable download trend, with weekly downloads hovering between 1.4K and 2K throughout the quarter. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at about 142K in late September and decreasing to 126K by early December, before ending the quarter with approximately 139K active users.

Min Karta exhibited a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.7K in late September and dropping to roughly 744 by mid-December, before a slight increase to about 988 downloads by the end of the quarter.

Trafiken.nu i Stockholm showed highly volatile download trends. The app started with just 64 downloads in late September, spiking to about 1.9K in early October and peaking at over 4.2K in late November. The quarter ended with downloads fluctuating between 190 and 1.1K.
